Traction scoreGitHub stars can be faked, so popularity alone can be misleading. Traction Score looks for broader signs of recent attention, adoption, and active maintenance.
TL;DR

This collection provides AI coding agents with the domain-specific knowledge required to navigate Unity development. It translates complex engine tasks—such as configuring pixel-perfect 2D rendering or managing audio mixers—into structured instructions that agents can execute reliably.

Unity developers can use these skills to reduce the manual overhead of editor configuration and technical troubleshooting, moving from high-level intent to precise engine settings.

WHO IT'S FOR
Unity game developers
automating Unity Editor tasks with AI agents
2D game artists and developers
fixing pixel art rendering issues via AI
Live-ops engineers
implementing backend services for live games
Technical sound designers
organizing audio mixer routing with AI assistance
Repository contents

34 skill files

Compatible AgentsThe repository documents support for these agents. The skills may also work with other agents that can load SKILL.md files, but they may need some setup or small changes.

Use this skill collection

Follow the documented setup, then try a first task.

I’m using

Install the Unity Skills bundle with Skills CLI

Installs: Complete Unity Skills repository bundle. The listed skill paths are the positively supported subset represented in the supplied excerpts; the bundle may contain additional skills. · GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Cline

  1. For GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Cline, or another agent documented as compatible through skills.sh, run this bundle-install command in a terminal. For Claude Code or Codex, the repository directs users to the official Unity plugin instead, but its installation commands are not included in the supplied evidence.

Suggested first task

Create a hexagonal Tile Palette

Uses tilemap-palette-create

  • Replace `<palette-name>` with the desired asset name.
  • A Unity project with `com.unity.2d.tilemap` version 1.0.0 or later.
Use the `tilemap-palette-create` skill to create a hexagonal Tile Palette named `<palette-name>` for my level. Use the documented hexagonal default cell size and verify that the resulting asset contains a `GridPalette` sub-asset.

Suggested first task

Start a rewarded-ads integration

Uses levelplay-unity-integration

  • The top-level Unity project directory containing `Assets/` and `ProjectSettings/`.
  • A Unity project using an LTS or actively developed Unity Editor version.
  • A LevelPlay account; the documented workflow can guide package installation if the SDK is not already resolved.
Use the `levelplay-unity-integration` skill to start a new rewarded-ads integration in my Unity game. Follow the workflow one checkpoint at a time, beginning by verifying that this is a Unity project; do not move to later steps until I answer the current checkpoint.
Suggested first task

Check Unity CLI and Editor connectivity

Uses unity-cli

  • The Unity project directory.
  • For the Editor-connection check, an open Unity Editor with the project's Pipeline package configured.
  • If multiple Editors may be open, the target project path.
Use the `unity-cli` skill to check whether the Unity CLI is available and whether it can see a ready Unity Editor for this project. Report the CLI version and connection status, and list the Editor's exposed commands if it is ready. Do not modify the project.
