Enable the CLI in Obsidian under Settings → Command line interface.
Obsidian Desktop must be running because the CLI communicates over IPC.
Platform: macOS/Linux: enabling the CLI adds the obsidian binary to PATH automatically. Windows: Obsidian.com must be alongside Obsidian.exe, and commands must run in a normal-privilege terminal. Headless Linux: use the .deb package rather than snap, run under xvfb, prefix commands with DISPLAY=:5, and set PrivateTmp=false for a systemd service.
Enter these two slash commands in a Claude Code agent session, in the documented order.
