Traction scoreGitHub stars can be faked, so popularity alone can be misleading. Traction Score looks for broader signs of recent attention, adoption, and active maintenance.
TL;DR

Autopilot automates the end-to-end development lifecycle, moving from initial requirements and briefing to technical specifications, ticket generation, and acceptance testing. It is designed for product managers and solo founders who require a finished result without manually reviewing intermediate code or specifications.

The process is managed through subagents and monitored via a live dashboard, ensuring that the transition from a high-level brief to a functional app, site, or bot is structured and autonomous.

Compatible AgentsThe repository documents support for these agents. The skills may also work with other agents that can load SKILL.md files, but they may need some setup or small changes.

Use this skill

Follow the documented setup, then try a first task.

I’m using

Install Autopilot through your agent

Installs: Global installation of the Autopilot skill for the selected agent. · Claude Code, Cursor, Codex

Before you start
  • Node.js with npx available; if npx is missing, the documented workflow pauses for Node.js installation.
  1. Enter this complete prompt in your agent session. Replace <put yourself here: claude-code, cursor, codex> with claude-code for Claude Code, cursor for Cursor, or codex for Codex. The agent runs the enclosed terminal command. This procedure is for the first installation.

Install the Autopilot skill for me. Run in the terminal:

    npx skills add nick-vels/skills --skill autopilot -g -y -a <put yourself here: claude-code, cursor, codex>

If npx is not found, give me a link to download Node.js and wait.
    Don't install anything else.
When you're done, tell me in one line that it's ready and that the session needs a restart.
  2. Restart your agent after installation so it loads the skill.

Give it something to do.

Suggested first task

Build a small local task app

Uses autopilot

  • A project workspace where the app can be built.
  • Your desired task-app requirements; edit the example requirements in the prompt to suit your needs.
/autopilot Build a small local task app where I can add tasks, mark them complete, and filter between all, active, and completed tasks. Keep the project small, with no accounts or external services. Use Autopilot to work through requirements, specification, implementation, review, and acceptance. Do not publish or deploy it.
