Traction scoreGitHub stars can be faked, so popularity alone can be misleading. Traction Score looks for broader signs of recent attention, adoption, and active maintenance.
TL;DR

Clone sections, widgets, and page transitions from live URLs or video recordings into a codebase by matching timing, easing, and layout frame by frame.

WHO IT'S FOR
Frontend engineers
replicate complex web animations from references
Creative technologists
reverse-engineer WebGL and 3D motion scenes
UI/UX developers
match prototype motion and easing exactly
Design systems engineers
port interaction patterns from reference sites

Compatible AgentsThe repository documents support for these agents. The skills may also work with other agents that can load SKILL.md files, but they may need some setup or small changes.

Use this skill

Follow the documented setup, then try a first task.

Global installation with skills CLI

Installs: Global installation of the reanimate skill for agents selected through the skills CLI. · Claude Code

Before you start
  • Bun 1.1 or later must already be installed.
  • The first run downloads Playwright Chromium and a static ffmpeg, about 250 MB together. No API keys are required.

Platform: macOS or Linux; Windows is untested.

  1. Run this command in a terminal to install globally.

    npx skills add NiazMorshed2007/reanimate -g
  2. When the skills CLI asks which agents to set up, select Claude Code. Then open Claude Code in your destination project and describe the reference animation and where its implementation should go. The first skill run installs its capture dependencies.

Give it something to do.

Suggested first task

Rebuild a short loader animation

Uses reanimate

  • An existing destination project accessible to the agent.
  • A local reference recording; replace the sample path ~/Downloads/loader.mov with your recording's actual path and adjust the time range to the loader.
  • A destination file; replace the sample path components/Loader.tsx with the appropriate file in your project.
Use the reanimate skill to recreate only the loader from 0:03 to 0:05 of ~/Downloads/loader.mov in my project's existing stack, with the code going into components/Loader.tsx. Use the default motion-faithful fidelity, record the implementation against the reference, and provide the comparison evidence.
