TL;DR

Describe any machine in one line. Claude builds a photoreal, physics based, interactive simulation of it in one HTML file, plus the film to post it. An open source Claude Code skill.

Compatible AgentsThe repository documents support for these agents. The skills may also work with other agents that can load SKILL.md files, but they may need some setup or small changes.

Use this skill

Follow the documented setup, then try a first task.

I’m using

Claude Code: global installation with skills CLI

Installs: Machine skill for the current user, installed at ~/.claude/skills/machine. · Claude Code

Before you start
  • Claude Code
  • Node and ffmpeg installed on the machine used for recording the accompanying film.
  1. Run this command in a terminal.

    npx skills add AirsupHQ/machine-skill -g -a claude-code
  2. Claude Code discovers new skills in a running session. If the skills folder did not exist when the session started, enter this command in the Claude Code session.

Give it something to do.

Suggested first task

See how a watch escapement works

Uses machine

  • The machine is specified in the prompt; no user-supplied model is required.
  • Keep the repository's kit and examples available for the documented workflow.
  • Open the resulting HTML in a browser; it loads three.js 0.170 from jsDelivr.
  • Recording the accompanying film requires a machine with Node and ffmpeg.
Use the machine skill to build a mechanical watch movement with a Swiss lever escapement, slowed down so I can see the impulse. Create the interactive HTML simulation with computed beats per hour, labels, and a cutaway so I can inspect how the parts work together.
